Funny as usual! I love the weekly cartoons!!!! Our ward has actually started doing an EQ race an hour after the boys do theirs. Boys will ALWAYS be boys! (And that is not a bad thing-Usually!)
My brother's ward started it & the only rule was that it couldn't destroy any other car. Some awesome designs & loads of fun! Plus it lets the kids keep theirs. =]
My husband is away in the Army, and so our 8 year old son made his first derby car...and painted it green too. Compared to all the cars (made by dads) it came in last place, but I think he did a brilliant job on his own, and was so proud of him cheering for the winners. Better luck next year!
Not Your Father's Pinewood Derby CarWell, it was a youth built car, not an EQ one, but I think it fits ... I wish I had the skill to build something like that.
In two of my wards now the EQ's have had their own, but everyone was welcome to enter, but oddly enough a lot of times the best looking cars were from women or kids that made their own! :D These wards also had a testosterone charged Super Saturday (my hubby had seen it on his mission and suggested it and it caught on), I went once to help cook, so all the guys could do the classes, and it was actually really cool!
Good job guys, you've now got readers from Sweden as well. Keep it up and I would absolutely LOVE it if you would think of some YW stuff I could use in my calling :-)

We had a Pinewood Princess race for the girls. The fathers were helping each other's daughters. It was a beautiful sight.
